Our further interest in this battle has been fueled somewhat by the fact that after 200yrs no one has yet found where the mass graves of the 15,000 plus men & 7,000 horses were buried after the battle; this is curious as monuments are few and far between and the common soldier on both sides have no markers to where they fell. We are looking into this and with the aid of original maps and written accounts of the battle dated from the period it might be possible to piece together exactly what happened to all those men. More follows in the New Year.
Lastly, we have been following the story of the Lost Nazi Train in Poland; five months after it was said to have been found we are still no further in knowing for sure if it actually exists? The story goes that there were actually three trains that disappeared during the closing months of the war and all should be somewhere in the Polish mountains around the "Reise" complex sites; we hope that next Spring some digging work might be undertaken by the Polish authorities to finally find out if at least one of these trains exists or not?
A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of our readers and from us the New Year promises some great adventures..........Steve Sullivan
