We have located a new set of aerial photographs of the Newhaven coast taken just after the war and they answer many questions about the coastal gun batteries that protected the Seaford bay area during the war. This provides us with a massive leap forward in closing our research and writing up the page for this website together with new photography. We are hopeful also of finishing off work on the Lunette battery and HMS Forward also in Newhaven. Our new project for the spring may well be the Dieppe raid after completing work researching new information about this failed raid in August 1942 with the combined loss of nearly 3,000 men for very little gain.
We are also excited about upgrading this website very soon to allow us to use video and audio media and to set up our own dedicated online shop. Keep us in mind for Spring 2016!!
